For the month of August I have nothing but free time. To fill my days mostly I sew or craft. My latest project has been making little Christmas tree ornaments. There's nothing I like more than gorgeous period costumes, especially from movies such as The Duchess, A Royal Affair and Pride and Prejudice.
For making these, I cut the body out of cardboard (from a cereal box) cover it with fabric, then use scraps of fabric for the dresses. Hair is made out of embroidery thread and I draw the faces (not very well,) using markers and a blended oil pastel for the rosy cheeks.
